Hi, I'm Mark, the owner of R.I. BBQ.
Barbecue has always been about bringing people together. Some of my favorite memories have been made around a smoker—sharing good food, good conversation, and time with family and friends. What started as a passion for learning the craft eventually became something I wanted to share with my community.
The name R.I. BBQ carries a meaning that is deeply personal to me. R.I. stands for Robin Irene, my late mother. She taught me the importance of kindness, hard work, and putting your heart into everything you do. Naming this business after her is my way of honoring her legacy and carrying those values forward every day.
As a Veteran Owned and Operated business, R.I. BBQ is built on the principles that have guided me throughout my life: integrity, commitment, consistency, and taking pride in doing things the right way. Those same values go into every meal we serve.
I believe great barbecue can't be rushed. Every cut of meat is carefully selected, seasoned with purpose, and smoked low and slow to bring out its natural flavor. We source our meats from local butchers and farms whenever possible, and every item on our menu is 100% gluten-free because I believe everyone deserves to enjoy exceptional barbecue without compromise.
You'll notice our menu changes throughout the year. That's intentional. I enjoy experimenting with new recipes, highlighting seasonal ingredients, and keeping things fresh for both new and returning guests while staying true to the barbecue traditions that inspired R.I. BBQ.
Thank you for supporting a small, local business. Every customer who visits our trailer becomes part of the story we're building—a story rooted in family, service, and a passion for sharing great barbecue with our community.
